NutriStar 12-4-8 Native Plant Food

A fertilizer as great as the state of Texas!

Native Plants is a product that addresses the nutrient needs of most Texas Native Plants. Since these plants usually grow in environments that are not intensely managed, the nutrient needs are different than other horticultural crops. This product is composed of nutrients that are released to the soil through microbial activity. As such, Native Plants is a very slow feeding plant food. It will not burn roots if applied properly. This product has a very low salt index.

This fertilizer blend includes ureaform, monoammonium phosphate, activated sludge, potassium nitrate,potassium sulfate, ferrous sulfate, magnesium sulfate, calcium sulfate, sulfur, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, magnesium oxide.

This a perfect fertilizer for succulents, native grasses, and wildflowers.

Top Dressing Container Grown Plants

Apply Native Plants at the following rates:

10 gallon 1/2 cup
15 gallon 3/4 cup

Apply over the entire surface of the growing media and water in thoroughly.

Incorporating Native Plants in Planting Mix

Incorporate Native Plants at a rate of 20 pounds per cubic yard mix. Transplant as normal, water thoroughly.

Top Dressing Plants in the Landscape

Apply Native Plants around single plants at a rate of twice that shown above for each size of plant.
Native Plants for Texas Native Plants should be applied at a rate of approximately four pounds for every 100 square feet of bedded area. Apply evenly around each plant and water in.

Native plants should be fertilized twice per year: late spring and early fall.
