NutriStar 11-4-6 Palm Food

Keep your Palms looking perfect!

NutriStar for Palms has been designed as a very low analysis, low salt, acidic fertilizer for palm trees. This Palm fertilizer is composed of 90% slow release nitrogen that is made available to the plant only through microbial breakdown. In addition, it contains elemental sulfur to create a soil environment that is conducive to nutrient availability. This plant food, because of its characteristics, should be used throughout the growing season.

This fertilizer blend contains ureaform, monoammonium phosphate, activated sludge, sulfur, potassium nitrate, potassium sulfate, ferrous sulfate, magnesium sulfate, calcium sulfate, sulfur, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, magnesium oxide.

A 3 to 4 month controlled-release NPK nursery fertilizer. This formula contains all three forms of nitrogen, which is appropriate for nursery plant material. Each nitrogen source has a different release characteristic to ensure precise, controlled rates of nitrogen throughout the growing period.

Planting New Palm Trees

Apply NutriStar for Palm at a rate of four pounds (8 cups) per tree. Mix NutriStar into the top four inches of the planting media around the outside of the Root Ball. Water to saturation. Reapply fertilizer in two months.

Top Dressing Palm Tree

Existing Trees: Drill or Punch holes 10-16 inches deep into the soil in a circle around the tree 2-3 feet from the trunk. Pour four (4) tablespoons of NutriStar down each hole three times per year. Spring, Summer, and early fall. Apply when the soil is dry, then soak the soil ONCE. Do not water again for at least ten days.
Apply Nutristar for Palm at the following rates. Tree height is measured from the soil line to where the lowest fronds come out of the trunk.
